    U.S. Department of Agriculture (June 2003 - Present)
    Federal employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service. As an Information Technology Specialist for Veterinarian Services my essential duties are to provide customer service for 35 employees of the Foreign Animal Disease Diagnostic Laboratory on Plum Island. Network administer the local area network; install and upgrade new desktop computer systems; research, modify and customize purchased software; design and develop Oracle applications; develop Oracle databases; database administration; Oracle application system administration. Participate as a core member/developer for the implementation of the new Laboratory Information Management System for the National Veterinarian Services Laboratories.

    Yale University (1998 - 2003)
    Employed as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Yale University for Information Technology Services (ITS). Presently, my position at Yale consist of reporting to the Technical Manager of Enterprise Web Development in the Administrative Systems department of ITS. Essential duties include: To Provide a leadership role in the development, implementation and maintenance of client/server systems; participate with end users in the design of Oracle based systems; design system requirements and programming specifications for complex systems; develop, implement, test, install, and document programs; modify and customize purchased software to Yale's needs; integrate systems from various vendors to supply required functionality; evaluate software for acquisition; supervise junior programmers/analysts; participate in the training of technical staff and users and serve as liaison with user departments for training, problem solving and technical enhancement of systems.

    U.S. Department of Agriculture (1990 - 1998)
    Employed as a federal employee with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, as a Computer Specialist for the information technology section. Currently, my duties include: analyzing,designing and developing computer systems/programs; develop comprehensive test plans and test programs according to center testing standards; writing or modifying third and fourth generation programs with ORACLE, "C", Perl, consulting with various users and veterinarians; preparing system and user documentation; working independently or as a team member on assigned projects; maintaining the software libraries; installing software systems; assisting user support groups with technical advice; researching, evaluating and recommending modifications and enhancements requested by system users.

    SM Systems and Research Corporation (1987 - 1990)
    Employed through a contract with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service, as a computer programmer in support of national systems used in eradication of Brucellosis. As a computer programmer my duties included: designing, developing and debugging "C" and COBOL programs; assisting in formulating test procedures and designing test data; testing to insure that each program meets the proper specifications; preparing thorough and concise documentation; and working independently on assigned projects insuring that they are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
